Our Radiology Process

At Chippens Hill Veterinary Hospital, we administer x-rays when we feel they can help us diagnose a potential illness or injury your pet is experiencing. We can take radiographs of the skeletal system, spine, heart and lungs, abdomen, and skull.

The x-ray itself is quick and painless. Your pet will not need to be anesthetized unless they are particularly afraid and/or unable to remain still. We take great care to ensure that your pet feels calm and relaxed throughout the process.

Once testing is complete, our veterinary team will review the results and make a diagnosis. The entire process takes place in-house in our state-of-the-art facilities. Depending on our diagnosis, we’ll recommend the right treatment option and advise you accordingly of how best to proceed.
